Digging Deep Into the Scripture
The Bible makes many general references to precious stones and jewels, most often as metaphors for such attributes as value, wealth, beauty and durability.
Most gem stones are formed in the earth's crust approximately 3 to 25 miles beneath the earth's surface.
To search for crude oil, geologists use sesmic surveys on land and in the ocean, where they rely on blasts of sound that create sonic waves to explore the geology beneath the ocean floor by the use of drilling rigs.
The above illustration is used to describe how to get at precious valuable things, which could be gems as described above or information about something valuable.
Today, many Christians don't read the Bible, and even if they do there's no indepth study and as such no proper understanding of who God is. God is sovereign so for us to understand who he is we really have to dig deep into the Bible.
As Christians we have to understand the efficacy in the name of Jesus Christ, for some the name of Jesus Christ has become a slogan because they don't know who He is.
John 14: 25-26
"All this I have spoken to you while still with you. But the counsellor the Holy Spirit, whom the father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you ".
PRAYER : Father thank you for the transformation power in your word, thank you for giving us hope through your word. AMEN.
