How often do your gaze on Jesus Shift?
After I celebrated my birthday on the 22nd of July, instead of me to focus on all that God has done for me as a single parent, my worst enemy (satan) took hold of me and my gaze on Jesus shifted and I started sinking into depression. I shifted my gaze to the challenges I am facing, mainly my financial difficulties and not having achieved some things I had hoped to have achieved by now.
I decided to write on this issue because it is very easy for our focus on Jesus Christ to waiver when faced with challenges in life which makes it easier to get caught up in the overwhelming situation and begin to sink in despair.
Truly, these shifts are very real, but the good news is that when we recognise it, we should redirect our gaze back to Jesus and things will start to fall in pleasant places for us.
First, we should recall all the marvellous things God has done for us. It’s important to acknowledge the blessings in our lives, as they can easily be taken for granted. Good health is one of our most precious blessings, yet we must recognize that it isn't solely within our control.
Life is unpredictable, and unfortunate events can occur despite our seemingly perfect health, which reminds us that it is ultimately a higher sovereign power that offers protection and guides our lives.
Being grateful for the blessings and protection we receive should be an essential aspect of our lives. Show your gratitude to God Almighty in the comment section. SHALLOM
